The sulphur melting unit is equipped with a molten sulphur trough and a liquid sulphur trough. Fused-sulphur tanks are installed below the ground level, and the upper part of the tank is flush with the ground level, which facilitates manual dumping of solid sulphur. The liquid sulphur high position tank is installed above the ground level to facilitate the maintenance of the sulphur insulation jacket pump and filter. The solid sulphur is melted in the molten sulphur tank and lifted to the liquid sulphur high tank by a submerged pump. The upper tank has a liquid level sensor to control the liquid level, and the liquid sulphur in the upper tank is directly sent to the sulphur burning furnace through the sulphur jacketed gear pump. Liquid sulphur metering uses a mass flow meter. The liquid sulphur is kept warm with steam or jacketed pipes, and the condensate can be recycled. The vapor pressure in the melting sulphur tank is controlled by the pneumatic control valve to control the steam pressure, so as to ensure the proper melting temperature of sulphur and improve the flowability of sulphur.
